Fireflies are Free

from Dandelion Daze by Luna Moth

/

lyrics

Stole a thimbleful of mothwing dust and sprinkled it into my green tea cup. Took a sip and watched the stars fall down, tuned into the frequency of the cicadas' hum.

Big fat mama junebug buzzing circles, bury all your babies in the ground. Stole my stoicism from a turtle. Climbed a tree and watched the sun fall down.

Daisy, raise your lark-like eyes from starlight to the sea. Daisy, if you wait for me, I'll grow a beard of stars for thee.

Summertime to sit beneath the trees. Whip-poor-wills and fireflies are free. Tuned into the psychedelic moon, hypnotized by the vibration of the galaxy.

Daisy, I've got honeysuckles tangled in my teeth.
Daisy, I've got dandelions growing in between my toes for thee.
